The DHL GUANARIDE is a mountain bike competition made up of 5 stages. It is carried out in the North Region of Costa Rica, between Guanacaste and Puntarenas. This competition will be from July 25th through 29th of 2007.

The DHL GUANARIDE starts at “Ciudad Blanca” in Liberia, and ends in Naranjo Beach in Puntarenas, which will make a total distance of 400 kilometers.

To compete in the DHL GUANARIDE you must have an excellent physical condition, since this competition’s trajectory is made for competitors with a good fitness level.

The DHL GUANARIDE goes through ballast and sand roads, footpaths and forests. You will cross amazing North Pacific beaches from Costa Rica and very important places from the tropical rainforest. In fact, don´t be shocked if you hear a Howler Monkey cheering you up somewhere in the road!!

The DHL GUANARIDE stages include high speed flat road travel, strong up hills and vertiginous down hills.

The temperature during the competition may vary between 26ºC and 34ºC, relative humidity is 90%.

The DHL GUANARIDE staff offers their competitors the best service. That is why this competition´s inscription is “all inclusive”. 

You will be in the best 4 and 5 stars beach hotels. In each hotel, you will have the opportunity to relax in the most beautiful beaches and let the ocean waves give you the massage you deserve after each stage of the competition.
Or, if you´d like, you can choose to stay and have a great time by the pool.

During the DHL GUANARIDE, the organization offers assistance spots every 30 kilometers with fruits, water, energy bars and isotonic beverages.
